What I'm about to share is the ultimate fall off the bone, moist chicken wing recipe. The best thing about this recipe is its flexibility with the sauce. The recipe calls for teriyaki sauce as the base but it's versatile and can be easily altered. Next time, I'm going to try Sweet Baby Rays Barbecue sauce as the primary flavor. I love flexible recipes that allow you to make them your own.
The official name of this recipe is Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Wings. I stumbled across this dish in Savory Magazine provided by Giant food stores. Another bonus is that this recipe only requires four ingredients which is super cost effective. Hopefully, you will find the short list of ingredients and simple cooking instructions convenient for busy weeknight meals.
Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Wings
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 3 hours
- 3 lbs. chicken wings
- 1 (12 oz) bottle teriyaki sauce
- 1 tbsp. Sesame Seeds
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
I used Panda Express Mandarin Teriyaki sauce
- Combine and toss the chicken wings with the teriyaki sauce in the bowl of the slow cooker. Turn heat to high and cook for 3 hours.
- Remove lid from the slow cooker, turn off, and let wings stand for 10 minutes. Stir in half of the sesame seeds and half of the cilantro leaves. Place the wings on a plate and sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds and cilantro over the top. Drizzle with remaining sauce from the slow cooker and serve.
